Kelli's Favorites: Apps

These apps I use on almost a daily basis and the best part about them is they are basically free. One or two of them only charge about $3/month and it's totally worth it!

Overdrive - I love reading but just don't quite have the time to read as much as I would like. Overdrive links to the public library system and you can download e-books and audio books to rent for two weeks. It's amazing and they have tons of great books. They alert you when your hold is available and it's just perfection.

Google Voice - If you own your own business this is a lifesaver. Google gives you a phone number and you can use it to call and receive calls and even text. It's great so that you don't have to give out your personal cell number.

The Skimm - This is my new favorite app! It gives you the "Readers Digest Version" of the latest current events. It's pretty unbiased and along with the app they also send you an e-mail with some of the pieces so you can basically get the newspaper on your e-doorstep.

Evernote - It's definitely the most comprehensive user friendly app I've found that can have everything in one app for list making and note taking.

Slack - If you work with any sort of a team be it board members or coworkers, Slack may just be your new best friend! It's so easy to use and it helps all the communication for that group be in one place. You don't have to search through e-mails or texts, Slack lets you sort conversations as you have them. You can send messages to the whole group or just one person. It was the one app I never knew I always wanted :)
